Seal Spotting at Donna Nook Nature Reserve
Spanning over 6 miles of unspoiled coastline, the Donna Nook Nature Reserve gets a little busier in the wintertime as grey seals come ashore to give birth to their pups amongst the sand dunes.
Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust offers a grey seal pup tally on their website. The earliest recorded delivery in 2018 was in late October. And with increasing numbers born each year since 2013, 2019’s tally should be over 2,000 pups!

Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park
Lincolnshire offers huge swathes of unspoiled scenery, but that doesn’t mean you need to brave the great outdoors for the best view of its wild inhabitants. Visit the North Sea Observatory at Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park and you can enjoy the most wonderful views in complete comfort.
Alongside the observatory, there are exhibitions, art spaces, a café and more. With such amazing views of the changing seasons, it’s perfect for a visit at any time of the year.

Belton Park for Deer
Move inland and you can enjoy 1,300 acres of gorgeous park and woodland at Belton Park. Over half of its expanse is dedicated to deer, and the 3 mile trail is the perfect way to appreciate the ancient land and its inhabitants.
There are all kinds of other things to appreciate on your wander, including a deserted medieval village and tranquil, ancient woodland. It’s also dog-friendly; just remember to keep your four-legged friend on a lead.

RSPB Frampton Marsh
One of the UK’s most spectacular locations for wildlife, The Wash is a bay and estuary where Lincolnshire meets Norfolk. Frampton Marsh offers one of the best places to see all kinds of amazing avians, including avocets, brent geese, lapwings, redshanks and more.
There are all kinds of seasonal highlights to enjoy through the year too. You can even experience wild nightlife on the Big Wild Sleepout!
