The best Bonfire Night celebrations in the Peak District
Make your autumn break go with a bang. There are all kinds of amazing fireworks displays taking place this November, but head to the Peak District and you can not only enjoy some of the UK’s most impressive – and explosive! – sights, but also enjoy a private display at our Landal Darwin Forest Park.
This exclusive event is for park guests only. So you only have a short walk from the comfort of your accommodation to enjoy an amazing fireworks and bonfire spectacular. But there are all kinds of other amazing events to enjoy in the Peak District too.
Here’s a selection of our favourite firework displays in the Peak District.
The Chatsworth Estate Bonfire and Fireworks
Taking place over two nights, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 November, the stunning Chatsworth Estate hosts its annual spectacular, with a range of family fun entertainment to complement the amazing pyrotechnic display. This year they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with ‘an extraordinary voyage into space’. Out of this world entertainment, great food and a fantastic setting sounds like the perfect bonfire backdrop to us.

Chesterfield Fireworks Extravaganza, Whittington Moor
This huge firework spectacular takes place on Sunday 3 November and offers a truly awe-inspiring display, with an accompaniment of live music and a really big bonfire. The Peak FM stage provides plenty of live entertainment from 5.30pm, before the lighting of the bonfire 30 minutes later. With a grand firework display at 7pm, there’s a whole evening of bonfire entertainment to be enjoyed.

The Buxton Lions Firework Display & Hog Roast
The refinement and relaxation of the Regency spa town of Buxton may not seem like the perfect place for thrills and excitement, but all that changes on the 2 November. The town’s cricket ground hosts the annual firework display and hog roast, so expect plenty to eat and lots to keep you entertained! This ticketed event starts at 6pm and is a perfect activity for all the family. What’s more, under 15s get in for free.
