Events in the Peak District

With spring in full swing the Peak District looks incredible in June. There are all kinds of amazing activities to enjoy too, from flowers to food and drink and events that will take you out into the great outdoors.

Here are just a handful of our favourites. Don’t forget to visit Landal Sandybrook or Landal Darwin Forest if you’re seeking an amazing escape in the region. With amazing accommodation in gorgeous green surrounds, there’s no better place for a view of the Peaks in beautiful bloom.

RHS Chatsworth Flower Show, 5-9 June, 10am-6.30pm

The gorgeous gardens of Chatsworth rarely look more beautiful than they do in mid-spring. Needless to say, the Chatsworth Flower Show is a must-visit event, whether you have green fingers or just want to enjoy some floral therapy! Trees, talks, shopping and probably the most amazing afternoon tea awaits.

Matlock Food and Drink Festival, 8-9 June, 10.30am-4.30pm

The Peak District is renowned for its fantastic food and drink with lots of local artisans crafting and creating a range of delicious delicacies. Our next event allows you to enjoy them all in one location, with no extra travelling required! Cheese, pastries, pickles, sauces, cakes and all kinds of amazing drinks await – perfect for bringing back to your accommodation for a feast in the forest.

Wildside Festival, Ilkeston, 15 June, 1pm-10pm

Experience life on the wild side at this day of art and activities organised by the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. There are live music performances, theatre and workshops and all kinds of zones offering treatments, talks and much more. With adventure activities for the little ones, an amazing day out awaits!
