There are many records you might be able to tick off on a Landal GreenParks break: most relaxing holiday, tranquil location and stunning scenery, for example. But if you want the guarantee of a genuine world record then pack your swimsuit and head to Landal Hof van Saksen.
Located in the middle of the magnificent Drenthe countryside in Holland, Landal Hof van Saksen offers lush woodland, sand dunes and scenic valleys. But the real reason record breakers are going to want to visit are the incredible and amazing indoor waterslides.
All three of the waterslides at Hof van Saksen are record breakers – with speed, height and watery fun all well catered for. Here’s a brief rundown of each:
Bombo: The biggest
The largest indoor slide in the world. After a gentle beginning Bombo soon creates the experience of freefalling. Sat in your four-person inner tube, a gentle gradient gives way to a 10-metre drop before reaching a huge halfpipe. A powerful stream of water rocks you up and down the sides before you ride home to glory. Only the hardiest aqua-adventurers need apply!
Intenso: The highest
If the thought of riding the highest water slide weren’t enough to attract daredevils then Intenso offers another surprise. Sitting in your two-person inner tube, you can choose your own lighting accompaniment before you plummet down the high slide. Intense by name, intense by nature!
Presto: The steepest
You’ve experienced the biggest, and you took on the highest, that just leaves one more challenge. The Presto slide offers the world’s steepest waterslide gradient. After a gentle turn, the speed increases until you’re racing down the 115km slide at up to 60km per hour. Perfect for thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies, once you’ve experienced Presto, you’ve got the hat-trick!
After all that excitement you’ll be ready for some rest and recuperation. Take a look at our accommodation options to find the best way to relax and enjoy the surrounding scenic countryside.
